Data driven marketing
At Headspace Consulting, we believe in data driven marketing. Lets look at the numbers, lets see what is happening and lets do more of the things that work well and less of the things that work less well. Fundamentally, that is what marketing is all about.
These days, data comes from many different sources, but just because it can be measured doesn’t necessarily make it important. When you have a lot of data at your disposal, the skill is sorting out which data is most useful to you and knowing which data you are going to act upon. Knowing that some of your customers really want your product delivered in a particular way, is not necessarily a reason to change your product offering, but working out that you are missing out on profits because you are not reaching the right audience with the right messages or you are reaching the right people, but for whatever reason they are not converting into customers, that is when you know you need to do something differently.
Marketing is not about lurching from one bold campaign to another, rather it is about continually adjusting your course so that you cost-effectively find the people who might be interested in your product or service and then engaging with them in many different ways so that the cost and effort of tipping them over into becoming a paid customer is low.
If it looks effortless from the outside, odds are you are going in the right direction. If on the other hand, sales feel like very hard work, chances are there are some things thant can be done to improve your marketing.
